Collette Savard: Music
The Look In Your Eyes
I wrote the music to this on my ukulele in the car on a trip up north. I came up with some temporary lyrics which were I think.. -look at the moon isn't it beautiful- . John recorded it right there in the car on his MP3 player (yes while driving..bad boy!). He then hooked it up to a little device which transmits the mp3 to a radio frequency. This means I wrote, recorded and had a song played on the radio within about a half hour. That's gotta be some kind of record!
The Look in Your Eyes I just grew up about a day ago I want you to notice I want you to know That I understand the look in your eyes Yesterdays slumber parties Are todays dancing close Mysteries long hidden begin to unfold And I understand the look in your eyes Teach me, plant your seed So that I might bloom Teach me what it is I see In your eyes so blue Oh you've got what I need No I won't say it I'll let you pass by But I know the thoughts That roll by in your mind And I understand the look in your eyes
