MIDNIGHT words and music by Collette Savard

Midnight after the sun is gone
My hair is blowing wild
My body is striding onward
I’m lost in my head
But I know where I going
Those most now are in bed
I’m just getting started

Since I was a child
My mama said to me
You need to see the sun girl
If you want to be happy
The day it is alright
The sun won’t miss me none
But when the moon is shining high
That’s when I’ll have some fun

The city is playing like an old sad song
Like a fairground in the distance
That you’re longing to join
It will suck you in
& it might spit you out
But there’s no use standing here
When we’ve got all night

I’m just waking up
I can’t go to bed
This night is just a baby
& this baby must be fed

It’s midnight
The sun is gone
The stars are shining bright
I’m moving on
This night was made for me
This night was meant to be
There are those of us who sleep
There are those of us who dream
